Blind Beast 盲兽
Blind Beast references an old Japanese horror exploitation film, is a photography series inspired by both Japanese photographer Araki’s work from the 90s and philosopher Chizuko Ueno's essays on womanhood as a symbol of fetishism through the perspective of "male institutions" – a list of societal constructs dictating how men should behave toward women.
This self-portrait series explores the intricate line that bounds technology and beauty and my thoughts on how society reduces us to a physical figure rather than recognizing me for what we truly are.
